The gap was back to factory setting. I tightened it back down to my preferred .030 gap. Will remain to be seen how long that oring lasts with that gap setting. Ran 9 lbs of grain through without a hitch. Picked up the grain and took off, crushed perfectly, no issue. I have to say I'm pretty pleased with performance of the unit now.

For an average strength beer ( OG) I generally get 90% efficiency with Rahr 2 row as the base malt. That can drop as low as 80% when using other base malts (Maris Otter, Pilsner, wheat). I often switch up what I'm using, and my average efficiency has been 84%.

I only do all grain, have a false bottom, and RIMMS system. I have feeler gauges, best thing I ever bought when I was 16, and set the gap on both sides to .040.

Setting the mill gap took a bit to figure out, but once I realized how the cams move the adjustable roller it made sense. The .032 setting made for a perfect crush for my eBIAB rig. I would highly recommend this mill to anyone from novice to expert.
